GLS Language School: “Star School Germany”
GLS Language School has won the StudyTravel Star School Germany Award five times — a testament to its standing as one of Germany’s leading language schools.
Another unique feature: GLS is the only language school in Germany with two own boutique hotels, offering on-campus accommodation for both course participants and external guests.
Who trains at GLS?
- More than 5,000 people from more than 80 countries each year
- 250–400 participants per month (up to 500 in the summer)
- 90% are between the ages of 18 and 45
Most are independent international travelers who come to GLS to learn German. They are joined by local Berliners—primarily enrolled in our English, French, Russian, and Japanese courses—as well as professionals and executives from diplomatic missions, NGOs, universities, and corporate companies.
66 rooms, many with garden views
Housed in a carefully restored GDR modernist building on Kastanienallee, the school features 66 sunlit classrooms across three floors. Large windows open onto garden views or the vibrant Kastanienallee. Facilities include:
