GLS’s passion for language travel goes back to 1983 and stems from a deeply personal experience. As a teenager, founder Barbara Jaeschke spent a year abroad in the U.S.—a journey that proved life-changing:
If it hadn’t been for that experience, I never would have founded GLS. I saw firsthand just how transformative it was. I am convinced that traveling and learning languages bring people together and foster mutual understanding across cultural boundaries.
